Goals Part One
Leadership Goals
Short Term Goals
Long Term Goals
- I want to be successful in my job description as Athletics Commissioner, and help make Powderpuff and Dodgeball great events for the student body.
- For this goal, I really want to learn from Malery and Nico and contribute to the activities we are in charge in. Since I am considering being Athletics Commissioner again next year, I want to be fully prepared for it. In order to do that, I must pay attention and always be ready to help.
- I want to continue growing connections with my peers inside and outside of Leadership.
- Learning from my friends and understanding their perspectives on certain things is important to me, so I want to meet new people and grow bonds, along with strengthening my existing bonds as well. I’ve always been an introvert, and being outgoing and excited to make friends is not my normal way of acting, so getting out of my comfort zone will be challenging, but rewarding at the same time.
Short Term Goals
- I want to make it to state in either basketball or track.
- While this seems far-fetched, it would be an amazing accomplishment if I was able to do this. I’ve always loved sports, and have felt that I’m decently good at them. Last year, I had a decent year playing basketball, and found a surprising interest in track. I really want to continue to improve at both of these sports, and eventually do something big.
- I want to attend Stanford University.
- Another far-fetched goal of mine, but an important one nonetheless. Honestly, Stanford just feels like the perfect school. It’s close to Ripon, but not too close, it has a great engineering program, which I’m interested in, and they give a lot of financial aid. Also, Stanford has great athletics programs. I think being accepted into Stanford is possible, but unlikely. However, I am willing to work for it.
Long Term Goals
- I want to stay financially stable throughout my adult life.
- Since I’ve had a pretty good example of stability from my parents, I want to continue that trend and make enough money for myself and (hopefully) my future family. Money has become more and more important in this world, so I want to make sure my future children are able to have a normal childhood and not have to worry about finances. Also, stability will give me less stress and an overall happier lifestyle.
- I want to be happy in my future workplace.
- Although money is important, I definitely do not want to work in a place where I am dying of boredom. Being happy is just as important, if not more important, as making money, so I want to maximize my happiness. I hope to join a workforce that is welcoming, hospitable, and high-paying, all at the same time.
