People Magazine Article
Anthony Sausedo is currently a sophomore at Ripon High School. He has attended Park View Elementary School in the past. At his school, Anthony is involved in many different clubs, activities, sports, and more. He is a member of Renaissance, Block R, Sacred Heart Club, Pride Tribe, Bug Club, Disney Club, Leadership, and so much more. Anthony also plays two sports, Basketball and Track and Field, where he excels. He also takes Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors courses to challenge himself and prepare for college. He is currently tied with a couple other individual for the top GPA of his class. In his free time, Anthony does not enjoy reading books or watching documentaries, like many people have suggested. Instead, he is just like any other normal teenager today, where he is regularly on his phone communicating with his friends, playing video games, or just relaxing. When he’s not having leisure time, Anthony can be seen procrastinating all of his work on a daily basis, and then getting mad at himself for it but never fixing his problem. Or, Anthony is most likely eating a lot of food and/or sleeping. Contrary to what people initially think about him, he is not a try-hard or obsessed with schoolwork. He’s actually quite lazy, to be honest, which contradicts the grades that he gets at school. One area of school where he is not lazy about, however, is Leadership. This is mostly because he truly loves the atmosphere of the class and all of the amazing people in it. Anthony always feels at home whenever he walks into 5th period every day. This desire to work hard and accomplish what is needed of him in Leadership was extremely prevalent during Homecoming week. Anthony is very competitive, so he wanted to do as much as he could to help the sophomores win. Honestly, he did too much, to the point where he was about to smash the windows in his room because of how stressed and frustrated he was. As you can tell, Anthony stresses out a lot! This year, Anthony truly wants to find the flaws and mishaps in his life and do his best to amend those. However, he does understand that nobody is perfect and that we should embrace our weaknesses, but he still wants to become the best version of himself eventually. High school last year for him was a breeze, besides a couple dark times in his life (hint: first homecoming), so he was not expecting this year to challenge him, but it has. He has had to be much more efficient with his work and actually pay attention in class (crazy, right?). Anthony has learned this year that nothing comes easy, and you have to work for your goals and aspirations. With this new information, Anthony will have a better shot at being accepted into his dream school, Stanford University (yes, he knows it’s nearly impossible). No matter what, he plans on attending a four-year university to study an unknown topic and eventually find a stable career to life a happy, healthy life.
